Last call from the best age (another campaign I forgot to review)

If I consider Suicide Blitz 2 as the 1st custom campaign, Questionable Ethics: Alpha Test as the 2nd and Back to School as the 3rd, then this is the 4th.
This is one of the most gorgeous campaigns in the old days. It provides players with amazing featured visuals and unique design, along with the most impressive voice acting in a L4D2 campaign. Among all the campaigns I've ever played, it's also one of the few campaigns that really present actually decent fictional stories. Although this campaign is based on Dawn of the Dead, the creation team succeeded in making an acceptable adaptation.
However, it's clearly that someone dislikes something in this campaign, from Hank (in the role of CJ) to the level design. Hatred for Hank is understandable as not everyone can accept the annoying humor, some folks even began to hate all custom stuff in this campaign because of the existence of Hank. I believe holybased123 is one of them - he already hated the voice actor when he posted a review for Dead Before Dawn (Extended), but he gave that version more stars, even though the Extended version has more flaws and, in fact, includes 4 maps from this (DC) version.
Additionally, I said the design is unique - it does is. This campaign is different from many other custom campaigns. Except for the 1st and 5th map, the story develops mainly as events (maybe it's more suitable to call them "missions" in this campaign) happen, which means that the key gameplay is NOT run and gun, and as game progresses, this fact becomes increasingly clear. Since my mindset doesn't like long and boring game experience caused by long time's running and shooting without thinking and living, which's common in many "T1" campaigns (such as Dark Wood, Buried Deep and Chernobyl), I'm glad to accept this campaign's design style. Many players stand on the opposite side of me, some of them can also admire the unique design, but for sure, the other of them just put their backs on doing that. Even if you accept all the previous 4 maps, the 5th map may disappoint you with a simple dash finale. Come on, we need the fun scavenge finale from the cancelled mapping plans, I want to see Hank sacrifises himself for the survivors to escape, so that players won't judge him as just a stupid security guard! Nonetheless, you can still enjoy the finale if you want.
Anyway, in a word, this is the kind of the campaigns that you either enjoy it or not. Don't mind what I said, I was just posting crap.

      9,杰作

      杰作,针对电影进行了相当有意思移植的地图,场景细节很足,机关有创意,剧情语音和字幕让人印象深刻,就是救援关似乎太简单了哈哈,然后Tank刷新位置有时候蛮坑的

      It's bad

I'm honestly astonished by the amount of positive reviews about this pile of crap campaign. I feel like the worst thing about this map is the narrator, with his terribly fake southern accent and unfunny/tryhard quirky dialogue with the player was way too cringeworthy (but the worst one would probably be the guy who turns into a tank in the 4th chapter (that chapter was the worst one by the way), that guy doesn't even tries, or it's probably the same guy who voices that annoying wannabe southerner). The humor is just too cringe-including for me to like. Some crescendos are godawful. The finale is also incredibly dull even though it should be Parish-type gauntlet (It's mostly because how boring the environment is), it just doesn't feel exciting to finish this campaign at all, because you've been hating the wannabe southerner from the start.
The campaign gets worse each next chapter. The first chapter was the best one, obviously. Then we get to the mall, and the main problem is that there's nothing interesting about the mall itself, even though you spend your time there for the last 3 chapters (The Mall in Dead Center is honestly much more fun to play through, even though it's much more simple design-wise). Custom sounds and music sucks too, they're not as catchy as the OG stuff, did they really think that they were better? Also, before I forget, they keep claiming that this is the most complex mod for L4D2, but a polished turd is still a turd.
Anyway, it's bad, wouldn't recommend. Go play actually well-crafted campaigns like "I Hate Mountains" or "Dead Series". Trust me.

Perfect campaign with lots of details in the mall.

This is probably one of the best custom campaign in L4D2.^^ There are many areas can be explored, and you can also unlock the supply areas or weapons by getting special items.^^ Whole campaign and custom music's design is very well, and without any glitch in the campaign.^^ It's one of my favorite.^^

Perfect campaign, top notch map design, love the revamps here on the DC compared to the OG, campaign is better paced now, lots of areas to explore for supplies, optional events to trigger along the way, kickass custom music, voice acting, and a lot of interactivity, honestly one of my favourite custom campaigns.

      Fun to explore

      Good

      Custom environment

Plenty of supplies on each map

Hordes weren't too much neither were special spawns.

It wasnt too challenging or too easy

      Random events

      Voice acting

It's a bigger improvement over previous versions where I got stuck.

Hands down one of the best there is

Excellently built, atmospheric, and with kilotons of custom content. Randomized events, plenty of secrets, and good voice acting. I haven't watched it, but my friend said it's pretty much "by the movie". There's no reason to skip this one.

      Good Campaign

This is a good campaign but it has a small problem. Bots dont pick up any healing item after leaving safe room at Final Stage.

Simply awesome! Very detailed maps, and original events. Never found the key though :(
I loved Kowalski! And the radio and T.V. broadcasts. The last one gave me the chills haha.
Also, the dialogues were great. I liked you used the unusual ones.
      Totally enjoyed this! 5/5

      Pros:

      - Plot puts you in the 2004 movie Dawn of the Dead, an epic zombie movie
      - Scary custom music
      - Sufficient resources to deal with the high zombie count, yet not too much health lying around either
      - Fun voice acting
      - Humor throughout

      Cons:

      - I enjoyed this whole campaign, no complaints

      Conclusion:

I played this NO BOTS Realism Expert Solo (posted on my YouTube channel). Awesome campaign well worth the d/l.

      Pros:

      Great decoration
      Well laid out
      Better mall than dead center
      Awesome music
      Nice voice acting
      Decent length
      Cool events

      Cons:

      Sometimes hard to hear voices

      Conclusion:

One of the best custom maps I've played, enjoyed it a lot. Though sometimes gunfire or zombie noises made it hard to hear what was being said by news reporters and Hank.

      Pros:

      - Custom music
      - Voice acting
      - Panic events
      - Great looking maps
      - Justified long = good
      - Lots of action and lots of fun
      - Atmosphere

      Cons:

      - I just hated that "5th survivor"
      - Finale's problem = Done correctly is too easy, When you fall down it gets too long

      Conclusion:

Generaly, this campaign is amazing. I really liked that one and I hope I'll replay it many times in future. The only thing that really bothers me, is attitude of this "5th survivor"-guy. He's so obnoxious and so unlikeable that even when he saved my ass I still wanted to rip his throat out and put it in his... somwhere safe... Still, he's not much of a problem (when I don't have to listen to him), but overall, voice acting is just great, I loved the radio auditions, this made this world look way more realistic and way more... living (can I call it like that?) You did a really great job and I hope you'll keep it that way in future.

P.S. THIS IS THE ONLY CAMAPIGN WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY MAKE USE OF MACHINE GUNES BECAUSE THEY ARE WELL PLACED, PRAISE THE LORD OF WELL PLACED MACHINE GUNS

      Pros:

      great details
      custom music
      custom sound
      good intro
      cutscenes
i really like how the tank was spawned the later maps.
instructions given via radio - funny+awesome

      Cons:

finale was a tad hard for me
i cant shoot the the dancing security guard (receptionist?) :(

      Conclusion:

i hate playing 'in buildings' maps but this one... i like...
one of the best campaigns i've played so far.

End of results.
